Bye bye to the paper dollar in the USA?
An interesting question was posed on the Einstein Shrugged group today by A.J. Since I don’t watch television, I haven’t seen any ads like this, has anyone else out there? Here is the link to the U.S. Mint’s Dollar Coin page.

Here in Portland we’re getting Adverts day and night on radio and the Tele, to use the 1 dollar coin, to request them for change at stores fast food joints and etcetera
http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Dollar_(United_States_ coin)
I have family in Scotland I they hated the pushing of the 1 pound coin
http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ British_one_ pound_coin
that they still use RBS Pound notes, and Occasionally old Bank of England one pound notes, I have a couple I kept cause they were in such nice condition.
But the USA is it, In 87 Canada got rid of it’s one dollar, It’s really sad.
Since We have a heavy usage of the now 6 or 7 Metro lines, and the Busses are 24hrs a day in Portland and they all give back Dollar coins if you put a 5 dollar in them, It seems that It is really being pushed hard, I just saw 3 different adverts for it on 3 channels as I was flipping through them.
Are they really pushing the Dollar out, for the Bronze not actually Gold or silver Dollar coin, Or Is Oregon just full of gullible guinea pigs?
What’s the deal?
